OUR PURPOSE at GBA
Our goal and purpose at GBA is not to be a
substitute for proper training and instruction at home; we desire to
reinforce it. Our purpose is not to replace parental responsibility or
authority, but to compliment and support it. Our job is not to raise
children, but to assist parents as they raise their children. Our
purpose is to have a truly Christian school where Christ is the central
theme and everything revolves around Him. We are not a reform school.
Our thrust is discipling Christian children and providing a nurturing
atmosphere of truth and love where the younger children will be drawn to
Christ as they learn and grow.
In that atmosphere, students will be taught
and expected to practice diligence, honesty, kindness, self-control, a
work ethic, and respect and honor for those in authority, as well as for
the rights and property of fellow students. The staff works diligently
to constantly improve the Christian atmosphere, character, development,
and educational excellence in a positive learning environment.
Our purpose at GBA is to train godly
young people for the cause of Christ. Since the Lord requires "vessels"
fit for service, we have definitive guidelines for behavior, dress,
attitude, appearance, and actions that are based upon BIBLE principles
that should be the way of life at
school, home and church.
These principles are woven into every aspect of our educational programs
at GBA and give our students a system of absolutes so lacking in our
day. |

OUR PHILOSOPHY at GBA
Christian education is the only genuine
education that exists. In Proverbs 1:7 we find that, "The fear of the
Lord is the beginning of knowledge..." The fear of the Lord
and obedience to THE TRUTH is paramount to Christian education. Most
"Christian education" today is so-called. However, true Christian
education is more than a name, more than having a Bible and prayer in
the classroom, and more than heralding a school verse and motto. It is
the way of life. Jesus is the Way,
the Truth, and the Life. He came that we might have
life AND have it more abundantly. Therefore, education is only Christian
if it is indeed Christ-centered. Without Christ as the center,
education is "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge
of the truth."(II Timothy 3:7) |

OUR PRIORITIES at GBA
Our desire is to see students "seek first"
the things of God (Matthew 6:33) and we know if they develop a true
heart for God and a desire to please Him in all things, they will become
a better person and a better student. Next we desire to see character
developed in the lives of students. Character will cause them to have a
heart to learn and the diligence to accomplish that good.
With Christ first and Godly character second
we strive to provide the finest academic education possible. We work to
maintain a high academic standard stressing the fundamental basic of
reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, math, history, and
science at every level. Each class is staffed with a godly teacher who
is God-called and professional (though, not perfect). We are constantly
attempting to make improvements and additions to our staff and enhance
the abilities, experience and professionalism of our staff for the glory
of God and the good of GBA students and parents.
The Bible is is integrated into every day at GBA. Bible lessons are
taught daily in each classroom. The students also have weekly Scripture
memory passages, weekly chapel services and counselors available at any
time.
We place priority on PATRIOTISM as well. we believe our students should
be glad and proud to be in America. we recite the Pledge of Allegiance
every morning and emphasize the goodness and grace of God upon this
nation. Our flag is always respected and those who serve our country are
honored.

OUR PROGRAM at GBA
Our educational program at GBA is an
integral part of the overall ministry of Grace Independent Baptist
Church. Every staff member is a born-again Christian, dedicated to the
Lord Jesus Christ, separated from the world, faithful to His service and
an active member in the ministry of Grace Independent Baptist Church.
Our intent is to serve the members of the GIBC who do not home school
and those who want this type of atmosphere and education for their
children. Our goal is to raise godly servants for the King.
Attendance to GBA is a privilege. Families and students not in accord
with our doctrinal position, policies, and standards are politely asked
to seek another school that would best fit your beliefs and needs. We
otherwise do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or
nationality. |
